Le sorgenti dell'Aveto - Spring of the Aveto

Nel luglio 2009 sono andato alle sorgenti del torrente Aveto, sulle pendici del monte Caucaso. Nel video si vede il punto esatto in cui un primo rigagnolo sgorga dalla terra.


In July 2009 I went to the spring of the Aveto river, on Mount Caucaso, in Liguria, Italy. The video shows the exact spot where a little stream comes out of the ground.

Dire che Solbiate Olona sia una meta turistica sarebbe forse un pò azzardato, però nell'aprile 2009 ho trovato dei giardini privati assai curati e curiosi.

Sestri Levante: infiltrazioni d'acqua nel parcheggio interrato di Sant'Anna

Dopo averne sentito parlare, un giorno di gennaio che pioveva tanto sono andato a riprendere le infiltrazioni d'acqua nel parcheggio interrato di Sant'Anna. Sinceramente non mi sembrano particolarmente preoccupanti. Trovo assai più inquietante il fatto che le uscite di sicurezza che danno sulla spiaggia siano assai facili ad insabbiarsi. In pratica sotto l'azione degli elementi la sabbia si accumula sul lato esterno della porta che diventa impossibile da aprire.
In caso di bisogno ho forti dubbi che queste porte sarebbero utilizzabili.

Antonio Socci sui massacri di cristiani

Interessante articolo sul sito di Antonio Socci sui massacri di cristiani nel mondo. L'argomentazione di Socci è che in virtù dei luoghi comuni politically correct per cui le vittime sono sempre estranee all'Occidente ed alla sua cultura, è diventato quasi impossibile trovare sui media riferimenti chiari ai massacri di cristiani nei paesi dove essi stessi sono minoranza.

Tim Ferris' upside-down fire

I was somewhat fascinated by Tim Ferriss'theory that an upside-down fire is better.

Basically an upside-down fire is made putting the biggest logs at the bottom, and the lightest stuff on top. Then it has to be lit up from the top.

I have tried it myself and it seems to be working.
